Scouting for Food Campaign

Scouting for Food is an annual community service effort supported directly by the
Mid-America Council and partner organizations in our local community. Under the Boy Scouts of America strategic pillar of being recognized as an advocate for youth and youth issues, Scouts across Nebraska and Western Iowa collect nearly 200,000 food items for those in need.  This is the equivalent of approximately 114,000 meals. We are happy to partner with the Food Bank for the Heartland & your local food bank/pantry.

Food Bank for the Heartland distributed more than 38.2 million meals last year – an 89% increase over the average of the previous four years – the most in our organization’s 39-year history! These meals nourished hungry children, families, seniors, and veterans across Nebraska and western Iowa. This record number of meals would not be possible without the outpouring of support from people like you. You are providing critical meals during this unprecedented time of need.

Help support Food Bank for the Heartland provide critical meals to at-risk children, families, and seniors across Nebraska & western Iowa when you host a Virtual Food Drive. You can engage people all over the region and beyond in helping to provide the meals that thousands of our neighbors need.
