Welcome! Thank you for visiting the Omaha Food Lovers' 2021 fundraising page in support of Food Bank for the Heartland!

As we all know, the OFL community has shown themselves to be an amazingly caring, supporting and giving group, so it only makes sense for us to come together once again during this holiday season in support of those struggling to put food on their table during these difficult times.  Many of us (myself included) probably take for granted all the amazing food that gets shared in the group.  This is an opportune time for us to truly give back to our community.  With that said, we are once again partnering with the Food Bank for the Heartland in hopes of raising at least $100,000 between now and Christmas!  With over 70,000 members, this is a very attainable goal!  We had 45,000 members last year and were able to raise over $66,000 including offline donations.  With the match from the Shine the Light on Hunger campaign, this $100,000 could become $200,000!  How amazing would that be? 

As an additional incentive, once you donate, your name will be put into the drawing for one of several hundred gift cards that have been donated by close to 200 Omaha restaurants!  Please donate whatever you are able to give during this trying time.  All amounts are appreciated!

Food Bank for the Heartland is able to turn every dollar donated into healthy meals! A Virtual Food Drive can help you provide more healthy food options than most could collect on their own. While we love donations in any form, our Virtual Food Drive allows us to serve more clients, more efficiently.

Food Bank for the Heartland distributed more than 38.2 million meals last year – an 89% increase over the average of the previous four years – the most in our organization’s 39-year history! These meals nourished hungry children, families, seniors, and veterans across Nebraska and western Iowa. This record number of meals would not be possible without the outpouring of support from people like you. You are providing critical meals during this unprecedented time of need.
