This year has been especially difficult for those struggling with financial hardship and food insecurity. Your gift to the Food Bank for the Heartland will help to fill empty plates with nutritious meals and bring hope to those facing the uncertainty of where their next meal will come.

Through generous contributions from individuals, corporations, and others, the Food Bank distributed 22.7 million meals across 93 counties in Western Iowa and Nebraska in 2019. Beyond the more than 600 food pantries, schools, emergency shelters and other nonprofit partners directly supported, the Food Bank for the Heartland also coordinates a number of other programs including SNAP (formerly the food stamp program), Mobile Pantry, and the Backpack Program.

Based on the Food Bank’s partnerships with growers and producers, each $1 donated can help provide 3 critically needed meals so even a small donation can make a big difference.
